How do we help the dancers to improve themselves so that they won’t feel stress from any gaps in their expectations as opposed to their executions?
How can we make dancers feel less intimidated from joining a competition/performance?
With these 2 questions in mind, we started to brainstorm and iterated on one another's ideas, in a pursuit to find an optimal solution. Below are some of the ideas we have come up with:
- Virtual dance performances in real-time
- Amateur-only dance performance
- A smart virtual mirror
- TikTok platform for newbies to show-off (meet physically to make the video)
- Feedback Platform App for dancers to submit their dance videos
- Global exchange programme
- A dance challenge for amateur dancers to win and dance with their dance idols
Finally, we categorised the ideas using a spectrum and voted on the best ideas (we each voted on three different ideas). As we voted, we also justified our votes by explaining to one another why we gave our vote and whether the idea can be merged into another idea.

- Community with peer mentoring. Everyone who joins will give back to the community by being attached to lower-skilled dance groups to guide them
- TikTok platform for newbies to show-off
- Strava Clubs (community) to include genres of dance, Discover and see people who submitted their dance
- Global exchange programme for amateur
